In other words, your 3D model will be impressive on your computer screen. Here is a breakdown of all four modes and their recommended application:

The Handheld Rapid Scan Mode is recommended for large objects without the need for high precision. Rapid Scan supports the R2 Rapid Registration add-on allowing for both marker point and feature alignment. With a scan speed of 550,000 points per second, the R2 Rapid Scan is a new feature and is the fastest mode of the Ein-Scan Series. This add-on module is an ideal mode for scanning large-scale sculptures, human forms, automotive bumpers, and furniture.

The Handheld HD Scan Mode is perfect for objects richly detailed, unlike the Rapid Scan Mode. In most cases, the objects are difficult to move and since the HD mode uses white light scanning, you can capture multiple angles using markers. This is most effective when scanning large sculptures, castings, automotive parts, etc.

This is where it gets fun: The Automatic Scan Mode is action-packed mostly because of the optional industrial pack. By matching the EinScan-Pro with a fully automated turntable, you can scan objects less than 20 cm with an accuracy of 0.05 mm for a single pass. From small artistic pieces to tiny industrial components, precision scanning of small objects is the name of the game.

Last but not least: The Free Scan Mode, which also includes the optional industrial pack mode, enables free scanning by fixing the scan head to the tripod. That means bigger objects (up to 4 meters in size) and according to the SHINING’s website, “If the object has enough details, the EinScan-Pro will automatically align multiple scan meshes to form a perfect 3D model.”

The EinScan-Pro has three add-on modules that integrate a turntable and tripod (Industrial), an external color texture camera (Color), and the ability to align reference points (Rapid Extension).

High-Speed Scanning Technology
